Halloween Eve!

Today we stayed home (yet again) and the boys played outside a lot of the day. The weather is so nice I feel like we need to take advantage of it. After we came inside, ate dinner and had baths Brayden went to bed and then Grandma came over to make cookies with Jacob! He LOVES to cook so of course this just made his day, or night I guess! There are some pics below of his cookies after they were done baking.

Brayden is saying a few new words....bye, bath, and nite-nite. He is also climbing on everything (he is definitely my child). He also has his back teeth coming in on each side of the bottom. Poor baby!

Jacob is doing so well learning his alphabet. I got him some flash cards and he knew almost every one immediately! He is growing up so fast, last night we were snuggling watching TV and he told me he had to tell me a secret. He leaned over and whispered to me "mommy, you're my special baby." It was too cute because I tell him all the time that he is my special baby! Silly boy! He has also taken quite a liking to Buddy, he wasn't too sure about him up until a few weeks ago. Now he goes out to feed him everyday and plays with him almost the whole time he's outside. I looked outside today and Jacob was laying on the ground dying laughing because Buddy had him pinned down licking him! I'm sure they will be good friends and do lots of exploring together out here.

Hunting

Yesterday we went to my dads to visit and hunt. We met some of Ben's friends and their kids there and had a really fun day. By the time we got there Ben's friend Roy had already got a big sow and later in the day Ben got one! I would have taken pictures but I stayed back because Brayden was napping. After we ate dinner we went out one more time and Wyatt got to shoot at one of them. He says he got it in the ribs, but it got away! ;) Then buddy saw a few little pigs and was dying to get to them. We let him out of the back of the ranger and he took off! He was right on top of them nipping the whole time! We laughed so hard watching him!

We're Back

We got home yesterday afternoon from visiting Maggie in New Port Richey. We had a great time while we were there. Michele and Jade came over Thursday afternoon and we were very happy to see them! Jacob and Jade played very nicely together which is a little bit of a change. About a year or so ago Jade stayed at Maggie's while Jacob and I were there visiting for a few days. Since Jade is the only girl in the family we call her a princess and Jacob had his fill of it that weekend. Maggie asked her "does the princess want a snack?" and Jacob's reply was "Lee-Lee (Maggie) her NOT a princess." We all cracked up when he said that, he'd had it with all the princess stuff!! Anyway, After we saw them Thursday, Ben and I met some of our friends at Busch Gardens for Howl-O-Scream. It wasn't as bad as Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios...the lines weren't near as long and the houses weren't quite as scary! (But they were still too scary for me) I spent most of the night with my face buried in the back of Ben's shirt! We had a great visit with everyone but we were also very happy to be back home! You know what they say.....There's No Place Like Home!!

Cousins

A Day of Nothing!

We did absolutely nothing today besides play outside and take naps! I guess everyone needs a day like that every once in a while! We got one of Jacob's old Power Wheels cars running again so he has been taking Brayden for rides around the yard! It's so cute to watch them drive all over the place. We are leaving tomorrow to go see Lee-Lee (Maggie) and go to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens. I am not looking forward to Howl-O-Scream but Ben loves that kind of stuff so I figured I could suffer through a few hours for him! It should be nice to have a night out by ourselves anyway!

Cypress Gardens

Yesterday we went to Cypress Gardens with some of our friends. We had my car loaded to the max with kids and adults! They had a $10 admission day and there was no school yesterday so it made it easy for us to take extra friends along! We have year round passes, that we enjoy very much and usually there are only a few people there. Since yesterday was so cheap it was very crowded but we still had a good time. It was Brayden's first time being able to ride on their kiddie rides, and boy did he LOVE it!!! He was perfect all day and the only time he fussed was when he had to get off a ride. Jacob loves to ride the roller coasters and really doesn't want much to do with the little rides anymore. He is definitely my little daredevil, among many other things!! ;) We had a great day and were all exhausted when we got home!

Catching Up!

Since my last post was Friday I have some catching up to do! Yesterday we went to the Children's Museum in Sebring and then to play at our friends house. I brought the camera with us but when we got into town I realized I left the memory card in the computer! Today we played outside at home (such nice weather) and we saw 4 airplanes pass right over our house. After seeing all those planes Jacob asked if we could go to the airport and see them take off. (We went a few months ago and he loved it!) We got there around 6:30 this evening and the security guard said they usually shut down around 6p.m. They did have two US Army helicopters there for a few days and Jacob thought that was pretty cool! Maybe next time we will be able to see some airplanes taking off and landing!
