Thanksgiving is almost here!

The last few days we have been working on getting things ready for everyone to come over for Thanksgiving. I finally did my grocery shopping today....what a madhouse....and hopefully tomorrow will start making a few things! I love Thanksgiving because no one is worried about gifts or last minute shopping. We can all relax and have a wonderful time with family and friends...and good food, of course! I can't wait to see everyone Thursday!
The pics are of the boys playing before bedtime, enjoy!

Great Day with Papa!

Today we went to my dad's (Papa) to visit and see his new chickens. They were so cute running around all over the yard! The boys loved them and Jacob made friends with one that he carried around ALL DAY! He wanted to bring it home with us but since we don't have anywhere for it to stay it had to stay at Papa's.....thank goodness!!! Then we went to a place down the street that is an animal auction. They had lots of chickens, peacocks, horses, baby bunnies and baby pot belly pigs! Jacob's favorite were the bunnies and mine were the little pigs! When we got back from the auction we went for a ride with Papa and saw a few deer and pigs. Jacob made him shoot at one but he missed and Jacob told him he was a "good misser"! We all had a great day!

Silly Boys!

Today we were home all day (like usual) and the boys played around the house. Jacob was shooting with Ben in the back yard this afternoon and they came in and got me to watch. They were filling up old water bottles and Jacob was shooting them. Ben had told me before that Jacob was a good shot but I didn't know quite how good until this afternoon. He hit the bottle almost every time, I couldn't believe it. I guess he is a little sniper in training! The videos below are short ones but you'll get the idea!

After we came inside I layed Brayden down for a nap, he played in his bed for about an hour so I figured he wasn't going to take a nap. I went in to get him and found his behind naked! He had taken off his diaper (or tinty, as he calls it)! Silly boy, luckily for me there was nothing in there!

These are pics of Brayden's room after we hung everything up! Finally, after a year his room is decorated! I just wish his walls weren't white!
Sorry the pic is crooked!
As you can see he desperately needs a toy box! Maybe Santa will bring him one!

Daily Life

Hi everyone! I have got to get better at putting new things up! Since my last post it seems we have been going non-stop so I haven't really thought about my blog! I want to start by saying Thank God Kyle is home now safe and healing! I hope he, Dana and Dave are getting the rest they desperately need and are adapting to a new lifestyle for the next 10 weeks or so.

When we haven't been busy with daily life, weddings and Dr.'s appointments we have been hanging out at home. So below are some random pictures of the kids playing.

Jacob caught a baby lizard and wanted to keep it for his pet! He named it Tiny and played with it in his room for about an hour until I finally talked him into letting it go outside to find it's mommy and daddy!

This was a view of the moon from our front porch a few nights ago! It was beautiful, too bad I couldn't get a better picture. Wearing his daddy's hat!

After I took a few pictures of Jacob shooting in the back yard, I came in and walked by the windows in our living room and saw all these turkeys in our front yard. They weren't scared of the gunshots one bit!

Flywheel and Other Fun Things!!

It has been a week since I last posted and there are a few fun things we have done! Let's see....Monday the boys and I went to the Sebring Airport (they were open this time!!!) and got to see some really cool planes doing "tricks" as Jacob called them. They were practicing for an aerobatic competition this weekend. It was so amazing that they could do the things they were doing without getting sick!!! The planes were super fast and flipped and spun around all over the place. It was really neat and I tried to get as many pics as I could but they were so fast it was hard to focus in on them.

Today we went to Flywheel Park in Fort Meade. We took our Ranger and rode around all day looking at the exhibits and tractors. It reminds me of a really big flea market but it has tractor pulls, antique tractors and a little village of old houses and stores. We had a really good time looking at everything and even found some decorations for Brayden's room while we were there.

Ben hooked a car battery up to the Power Wheels!! If that's not redneck I don't know what is!!

Jacob was playing hide and seek with Brayden

If you look closely you can see his eyes looking out of the right corner!

Jacob loved the kittens at Flywheel Park

He's holding a baby chick

Trick or Treating!

Last night the boys went trick or treating and mostly went to our family members houses. First we went to Grandma's and then we were off to see Nana, Grandma Polly, Papa and Grandma Dana and Moma Gene and Daddy Gene! Their buckets were full by the time we visited all of them!! We had every intention of going to more houses down Moma Gene's street but we just went to one house and the boys headed back to play and said they were done trick or treating! Hope everyone had a fun and safe night!

What a cute pirate!

The last two are Jacob dressed up in the lion costume for his 2nd Halloween!
